How I Work
Since our unique experience of life is influenced by a wide range of factors personal to us, I believe that therapy should not take a one size fits all approach.

As an Integrative Relational Counsellor, I aim to provide a warm, open and non-judgemental space, where the people I meet can feel heard, valued and respected.
By focusing on developing this strong and positive therapeutic relationship, where two people can meet in an honest, equal and accepting way, we are able to identify your needs, discuss safely any issue, and together successfully work towards your goals.
My style is non-directive and person-centred, this means that I work collaboratively with you and the issues that you choose, at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
Our time together should feel conversational, not consultative, as I know that successful therapy lies in collaboration and exploration rather than diagnosis and prescription.
My belief is that the resources that we need, can be found within us all. There are however times in our lives that they may perhaps be forgotten or even hidden.
The therapist’s role is therefore to support the client in the journey to rediscover them.
To this end I will integrate aspects of person-centred, psychodynamic and existential theories as well as transactional analysis (TA), to tailor an approach that best supports you in our work together.

I have experience of successfully working with issues that include but are not limited to:
Panic
Abuse
Assault
Relationships
Family dynamics
Employment
Grief
Loss
Change
Isolation
Trauma
Anxiety
